1. General

( I ) ABOUT   _{Hi, I'm Mel! I'm a Tokyo Revengers fanwriter and I try my best to be a positive influence in the fandom ♡ I am currently in and out of (online) university due to my disability and I am a double-major in Criminal Justice and Sociology. Because of this, you may notice from my carrd alone that crime is my specialty and something that I enjoy writing and learning about! Mikey is my favorite Tokyo Revengers character and most of my fics will center him in some way and in a couple pairing with a wide array of characters! I am also the world's biggest multishipper and I find nuance in pretty much every pairing so I follow an array of people! I am an anime-only (because of my abysmal eyesight--I have trouble differentiating characters in manga pages) so I am spoiler-avoidant. It's very nice to meet you!}( II ) DISABLED CREATOR   _{I am chronically ill and disabled (bedridden to be specific) while I receive treatment. This means that my works may be a bit more sporadic to update than the average fanwriter and I apologize for that! It isn't my fault and it is what it is, unfortunately. Mentally, I am a MDD, GAD, OCD, and PTSD sufferer. I am also diagnosed with Atypical Anorexia Nervosa and Trichotillomania. Some of my works are influenced by my struggles which is why they are listed. I do not mind if you all know about these as they are a part of me whether I like it or not.}( III ) WRITING   _{I prefer to write angst primarily as that is what I am most comfortable doing. I have been hobby writing for twenty years (since I was around six years old!) and I find comfort in the peace it brings me. I occasionally will open commissions to pay for anything fandom-related!}( IV ) FANDOM EVENTS   _{You will notice that I am often doing fandom events to help pass time in my condition and have something to work toward! They are all outlined in the "Portfolio" section, which even includes work I have done for past fandoms.}

2. Before You Follow (BYF)

( I ) I am very selective about mutuals.   _{I do not like having to unfollow people so I am slow to complete a mutual and very selective! It isn't personal, I'm just quite picky about what I want on my timeline! I do not RT NSFW content very often and I will always tag it if I post it on my end. I also mainly follow Tokyo Revengers-centric accounts. Please note I will also only follow back if you are 16+ and I do not follow minors (-18) who post or interact with NSFW content. I will not follow ageless accounts.}( II ) I very rarely DM anyone for any reason.   <sub>Please don't take this personally! I am very busy and my disabilities often result in low spoons, so I often will only interact publicly! My DMs are off to everyone except mutuals (unless I open commissions). Please also note that I do not return DMs from mutuals who are minors (under the age of 18) unless it is an emergency. This is for your safety and mine.

Adding onto this, if our DMs are open and you are/were a client of mine, please only DM me about work-related matters. I've had problems in the past with parasocial behavior and clients getting too comfortable, so this is a hard boundary for me. I am providing a service. We are not friends. Please keep this in mind. I am a very friendly person and I don't mind talking about work with you! However, anything further will result in a warning. If it is not respected after that, you will be blocked and your commission will be cancelled.</sub>( III ) I am not an "anti."   _{I'm an old-gen fandom person (lmao) so these "new terms" like "proship" are things you will never see me use because I think what it actually means gets lost in translation. In short, I don't give a damn what you ship and I will follow or unfollow accordingly. However, I typically will not follow people who post my NOTPs often/exclusively, but you have a right to your space in the fandom just as much as I do.}( IV ) I do not retweet couple pairing art or fics unless they are my own.   _{This is a bit of an odd note but I am a huge multishipper. Because I ship literally 75% of pairings, I do not want to risk making everyone uncomfortable by retweeting Literally Everything so I have decided upon only reposting couple pairings that I have personally commissioned or were made specifically for me/my fics. I will still 'like' couple pairing works and posts, but you will not see them retweeted/reposted on my page!}

( V ) PLEASE DO NOT STEAL / COPY / REPOST / TRANSLATE OR "PIGGYBACK" OFF OF MY WORK!   _{I used to be a little more lienient about this, but people have abused it in the past so it is all strictly prohibited now. I will take action against you if I have found that you have plagiarized or reposted/"piggybacked" off of my work.}( VI ) I have all of my NOTPs or things that make me uncomfortable muted.   _{Feel free to post about what you like! I may unfollow if you do not tag common triggers and certain ships show up on my timeline untagged. I also have a tendency to mute other fandoms I am not in (so I can keep my TL centric to what I enjoy) so post away!}( VII ) I don't usually softblock/remove the follow when I unfollow.   _{I don't want people to second-guess if they followed me at one point or not so I will leave you following me if I unfollow. If I do unfollow, it's most likely nothing personal! You may have switched fandoms entirely or posted a take I did not agree with/want to see on the TL. You may also be inactive. You can still interact if I unfollow!}( VIII ) I don't block very often. If you do get blocked, you will not be unblocked.     _{I usually scroll and ignore most things I see that I do not like. However, someone has to meet a specific criteria in my head for me to block them that would indicate that I don't want to interact or form a connection with them. Most of them are in my DNI. Do not ask to be unblocked: I hard-block when I decide that my space cannot include you. I also hard-block any accounts associated with you (privs and alts) if they are in your bio to prevent harassment. You are not permitted to commission me if you are blocked. If you have commissioned me in the past and you are now blocked, you may always access your commission through AO3 as I will not take it down unless asked to do so, however you are no longer permitted to commission me again. You can still read my fics on AO3 if you are blocked since I cannot control that, but you will remain blocked on Twitter/X.}

3. Do Not Interact (DNI)

I can block for a lot of reasons, but these are usually why:

( I ) The Usuals:   _{Racist / homophobic / biphobic / transphobic / LGBTQIA+-phobic in general / Zionists / Pro-Israel / Elon Musk or Donald Trump supporters / You blocked me first / If I fit your DNI / -18 and posts about NSFW / If I think you're lying about being 18+}( II ) If you harass or support harassment over fiction.   _{You can be on any side of the spectrum of "pro/anti" discourse for this one. If I've seen you harassing others for their stance, you're blocked. Harassment can be as menial as continuous vague-posting and as serious as doxxing. Chill the fuck out.}( III ) If you interact with content you don't like and make it everyone else's problem.   _{Curate your space and make fandom fun for you. Don't put your enjoyment in the hands of the people around you.}( IV ) If you hate my favorite ships or ships I post about often / post ship-hate in ship tags.   _{I'm sorry that you cannot comprehend peak. That's okay. But don't clutter tags with your hate because that's when I typically find you and you get blocked. This also includes the use of the term "hetslop" as I find this term to be biphobic. I ship many "het" or "M/F" ships and to see them be reduced to "slop" regardless of my headcanons for sexuality genuinely grosses me out.}( V ) If you are elitist about my favorite characters.   _{Fandom is about loving your favorite characters, shipping (if you want to) and reading everyone else's takes about the medium. Telling people that you know best because you're simply "better" and "like the character more" on MAIN will get you blocked. Let people have their harmless headcanons and curate your space. If I am on your private account, I will ignore this because it is your private space.}( VI ) If you talked shit about me (lmao).   _{ESPECIALLY IF IT WAS ON MAIN!!! I'm sorry that you did not like my angst fics/threadfics and/or the way I end my stories that I wrote with love. I now no longer wish to see your posts. Congrats.}( VII ) If you steal my writing or use my ideas/headcanons without asking.   _{Yes, I did notice. This also applies to my mutuals: if you steal their ideas or hcs without asking and I notice, you will also be blocked.}( VIII ) If you are rude and/or disrespectful to fanwriters and fanartists.   _{This one has been on the rise lately and includes everything from being out-of-pocket by giving unwanted advice/criticism to reposting work without permission. This also includes not giving credit when using artwork as a pfp or sharing fic snippets/sentences publicly without crediting the author.}( IX ) If you are disrespectful to the mangaka and/or artists on their personal Twitter accounts.   _{It might be funny in the global west to meme under your favorite author's posts, but in Japan, that shit is considered to be mad fucking weird and disrespectful. Spamming annoying fandom rhetoric under a mangaka's posts is really distasteful at best.}( X ) If you are not in my current fandom and you are blocked, you may be/have been in the Bungou Stray Dogs fandom.   _{If you were blocked when I was on that side of Twitter/X, I went through the pain of reblocking my blocklist when I made my new account. You will not be unblocked. If that does not apply to you and you are still blocked and you are not in either the Tokyo Revengers or BSD fandom(s), I may have seen you acting a fool on my FYP.}
